In February 2018 I attended a course at the Clínica Mayo, where we were told about the latest advances in Sinus Lift techniques. We heard about the Summers Technique or Ridge Access (Osteotomes Technique), the one we normally use most.

When the floor of the maxillary sinus has too little bone to apply the ridge access technique, we turn to the sinus lift. Here we use different materials to increase the bone mass: autograft, allograft, xenograft or alloplastic materials.

This was an enormously interesting course where we watched the technique being carried out. We also practiced it on patients ourselves, applying the latest advances in this type of procedure.
